As was mentioned...that photo with Leila is completely adorable & it shows a deep sense of being happy and content and joy. And that's one thing I've been really enjoying in your writing here and by extension also your music as of late, your journey so far of rediscovering you joy & happiness for all things is amazing.
As always, I'm thankful & truly appreciative of your willingness to share all in your words and music.
Flippin' eck! 11 thousand people auditioned?! And you were in the last eight? Those numbers just blew my mind. I guess I'm naive, but those kinds of numbers never entered my mind when I think about musicians trying to work with big bands. I sometimes talk with David Cabrera who is a guitarist who tours with Ricky Martin, and is currently touring with Jennifer Lopez, and he strikes me as a lovely, humble person. And I have a friend who is an incredible drummer who graduated from Berklee and is trying to make a living out of LA.
But yikes, scary competition. As in all the arts, I guess...
It was an open audition to the public. I guess a lot of their fans play guitar. But being a hired gun musician is very competitive. I’m glad I’m not interested in participating in that rat race.
That photo with Leila is adorable! Seems like you're finding the way forward to be to hang/tour/play with women-majority bands then? Will check out Duke Spirit!
Everything happens for a reason! To be fully transparent, I’m a massive Pumpkins fan - I have gotten to see Kiki perform with the Pumpkins once, and a little over a week ago with the Machines of God project with Kid Tigrrr and Jake Hayden. She absolutely is a perfect fit for the band. She clicks very very well. But still, she maintains her own very metal identity away from Pumpkins, Inc. I really do like her.
But I also understand specifically your feelings - it’s hard to pinpoint exactly - but best I can say is when something is right, and the stars align, you just KNOW it in your bones. 🖤
leila moss!

I think you killed Jellybelly \m/. I hope to get to see you live soon as I missed the last dates.
That 'Who the f***...' t-shirt is the bomb, but I will ask what were you doing onstage with FD????

I'm sure something big is coming your way!

I had no idea Dave Navarro used to manage you! I must have been under a rock during that period.
I have got a soft spot for Jane’s Addiction tbh and managed to see them in their original form last year just before they imploded (again)
You do you perfectly and anyone who doesn’t get you or your music is missing out. Their loss.
Maybe it’s time the tables turned and you become a mentor/manager? Jane’s Addiction might still be together if you were in charge! X

I think you’re afraid of being controlled by someone that might send you off in a new direction. That’s not always a bad thing.
They always pick the person who blends in the most and doesn’t stand out more than they do. Read The 48 Laws of Power, a brilliant book.
we need a better music industry.
